The evening will be filled with learning and song devoted to Chanuka from different angles, as light through a prism.Offerings include:
Eliav Goldberg: Few against many? The Historical events leading to Hanukkah
Eliav Goldberg earned a masters in Jewish History from Bar Ilan University, and is currently teaching at OHDS while on shelichut in Berkeley along with his wife Ofrah and family.
Raffi Magarik: Niggunim for Chanukah
Raphael Magarik is a graduate student in English literature and Jewish Studies at the University to California, Berkeley and has taught for Kevah and Yeshivat Hadar.
Rabbi David Rue: “Choshech ze Yavan” The Darkness is Greece
Rabbi David Rue has taught extensively in Yeshivot Bnei Akiva. He is a close student of Rav Druckman.
Carrie Sealine: A critical examination of the Hanukah story in light of Greek sources
Carrie Sealine is a Master’s student at the Center for Jewish Studies at GTU.
